Hi guys! It's been ages since I've either had the time or the interest in entering but this week's topic was guaranteed to draw me out. It's nice to be participating again. Another shot of my 1728 Stadivarius set up like an old fashioned Still Life painting. I hope you like it!
Update on July 1: I reshot this and here is the newer version. The old one had very poor DOF so the violin wasn't really in focus. This is a much better version all around, I think. I hope you agree>

Thanks, Greg, my friend! It's nice to be back in the contest. I am delighted that you like it so much. However, I am somewhat unhappy with it on a number of levels so I am going to reshoot it. Hopefully, I will preserve all that's good about it and fix those parts that I don't like. I ain't sayin' what they are.

How wonderful to hear from you, Robert, my dear friend! Way too long. I drop in every now and then and I have noticed some of your wonderful work on occasion. I am always delighted when you like something I shoot. but as I explained to Greg, above, I intend to e a better version shortly.
All goes along here. My dad just turned 99 years old and has had to come live with us. Otherwise, the girls are all fine. Right now, they are on vacation up in Tacoma, so I am alone with my Dad for several weeks. He isn't too much work so I have a little extra time to shoot the things I want to.
