This engagement session was taken at one of my favorite wineries in south bay area, CA. I love wines, wines with gourmet food! So I knew that it would be a great time by working with this fun couple.
I approached this engagement session with a more intimate and sensual approach. The staffs at the winery were also very helpful. It turned out to be one of my favorite engagement sessions. C& C are welcome.
I liked the indoor shots but felt the white balance was a little off. The processing on #14 and #15 comes out of no where and doesnt fit with the rest of the set. The outdoor stuff looks pretty good and the interaction between them is great.
She looks extremely comfortable and sexy. He appears stiff and forced in his posing. I'm not sure that was the case but it translates to that in the pics.
One thing that might help, and maybe you tried this, is to get the client's mind on "sexy" things that the two of them have done. A sexy memory if you will. Get them talking about that. Then step back and let things play out.
Anyway, she looks like a gorgeous model and that dude is lucky.

Thanks Tom. Yeah I was also hesitating about the processing of #14 and #15. The original ones might fit better. But I decided to give it a spin anyway.

Yes you are right about the gentleman. He was stiff especially at the beginning. It got better and better in the end. Guiding the couples is a special skill. Good suggestions on how to let them relax

My wife just shot a wedding there Saturday with a friend of her's. Beautiful location, from what I could tell.
The textures you used in 14/15 seem out of place with the rest of your images. That's just me.
No you are right about 14/15. They are not helpful for the full set. They actually add distraction in certain sense.
But some clients go nuts about this kind of processing. So I just throw in 2-3 images of such processing for them. Just saying "Hey, look, I can do this".
You couldn't shoot this during the golden hour ? Vineyards are just gorgeous at that time. Mid day sun is just too harsh looking to create a "sensual" mood.

There was a wedding later in the day so that we had to finish everything in the early afternoon.
The clients were already more than thrilled when they saw the photos, so we are cool
