I tried to buy a lens yesterday at B&H using the PayPal check out. When I got to a certain point it said I did not have sufficient funds although my PayPal balance was over twice the amount of the purchase.
I later moved most of the funds to my bank so I could pay for it from there.
When I emails PayPal, I got an automated reply explaining how to send money. But I was not trying to send money, I was attempting to make a purchase directly from my account.
I am now thinking that I needed a PayPal credit card to do it, but this is not clear at all.
Now I have to wait 4 days for the funds to clear. I always wondered why it takes days for some online transactions while others take place in seconds.
