It's very interesting to me that all the 'cool' Apple advocates suffer from a complete lack of regard for this ongoing human interest story. I know other manufacturers are guilty of exploiting the low cost labor in China but it really seems that Apple has it down to a science. And the other thing that bothers me is that the media just seems to bury these stories. I guess the far reaching arm of the Apple legal department has more power than we like to believe. Just look at what they got away with when the last iPhone got 'lost'.
Journalists aren't going to jump at the next big news about Foxconn after being duped once. I'm afraid coverage of current and future efforts at exposing inhuman working conditions in China will forever be tainted by Mike Daisey's play.
