I posted a review of the Retrospective 7 on my blog.
I have been a fan of Thinktank products. I currently have the 20, and 30 series from the Retrospective bags. I think that the Retrospective 7 is a nice small bag capable of carrying an Ipad and a Macbook air or similar sized computer. This bag is perfect for light travel. The quality of the materials are the same with the bigger sized Retrospective bags. If you have any questions just pm me. I hope this is helpful for those who are curious to the size and functionality of the new bag.
Thanks for the review and I'm happy you like the bag. It's been a big hit with customers that want to carry a standard sized body with an iPad.
In your review, you said, "The R7 fits gripped and non-gripped bodies." I just want to clarify that the Retrospective 7 is not designed to carry a gripped standard sized body or pro-sized body. I was able to squeeze our D3S into the bag as well, but it would be a real stretch if I had an iPad in the bag at the same time (as the bag's flex would go to zero). We market it as holding just standard sized and smaller bodies and I wouldn't personally ever use it with a larger setup.
Just wanted to clarify that, as we've received a few inquires via phone and email about what size body the bag is intended for. Just trying to do a little damage control.
Thanks again!!
Cheers,
