Awesome shots everybody! I have had mine a week now and I probably wont take it off the camera, except for work when not suing that length. It has become my "leave on camera and take everywhere" lens!!
Philip I like how your blue to white transition in the sky further highlights the Capitol Dome.
Michael, the portrait of the boy is great, he seems so alive, the skin tones and 3D effect are superb!
I just finished second shooting a wedding tonight and I made extensive use of the new 28/1.8 G, I'll be sharing some examples later in the week. First impression is good though, I shot a fair amount wide open and also alot in the f/4-5.6 arena... good sharpness, excellent AF speed and it is nice handling on the camera. I also got to shoot a bit with the new 35/1.4 G at the same event and have some thoughts on the comparison.

vpik01, thank you for your comments on my image. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the comparison between 28 and 35.
I just received this lens last week. Did some testing over the weekend, with an AF tune of -8 on my D800, the lens is SHARP SHARP SHARP.. everywhere! I brought it with me to work today so I can take pictures during my lunch walk up to Pike Place Market. I'll post some samples. My copy does not appear to have the focus shift issue, I tested from 1.8 to 8! I really like how it renders the background at wider apertures! It may have convinced me to sell my 24-70!
