I'm curious if there's a way to calculate the maximum speed that the Canon 50D would be able to take advantage of. I don't really want to buy any 600x when that camera will not be able to take advantage of that speed.
I used some 133x cards and after using the 300x cards i had, I could tell the difference when taking burst shots.

I would belive it can take advantage of the 600x compared to your 300x cards. Look at the 5D2 which came out when the 50D arrived. But it will not be as fast as the latest bodies of course
