Kelly, you are a bit slow on the uptake.

You missed a joke... by a German.

That might not happen again in your lifetime.

Sorry Kitty!

Not to be too critical, but there's nothing unique about the photography. Looks like another photographer who insists on using all natural night. I couldn't tell her work apart from anyone else.

The funny thing about the fill flash debate is that I just asked three high end wedding photographers (one starts at 5k, the others are a duo that start at just under 5k, both the individual and the duo shoot 40+ weddings a year) whether they ever use flash anywhere besides at receptions when folks are dancing crazystyle.

Both said no.

There are lots of different ways of doing things.

No, not at all. How else do you ground the helicopters and media outlets. It's basically the only way to ensure privacy, and what a way to delight your friends. He shared it, including photos, freely openly and immediately after.

I've worked at Facebook for years and consider Mark a friend. Their approach to this wedding is so bad ass in my opinion. Not milking it, not making a big deal about it, just your closest friends and your favorite food from down the street with a normal photographer in a backyard. How cool.

since your buds with tha zuk... can you please get us a "dislike" button.

That's because most average people (non photographers) can't tell the difference between a great photo and an average photo. If you market and brand yourself well, take average photos, make your customers feel good, and give them a great experience that's all that matters. I see it time and time again. Then there are other people who appreciate the difference, but don't understand why they like one photographer's photo over the other.

There are two widely circulating photos, it would seem Noah took the portrait of them standing side by side. Noah isn't really a wedding photographer, I've heard speculation that he was likely there as a guest. Allyson, it would seem, was the hired wedding photographer, and the other widely circulated photo of them walking holding hands is hers.

After seeing the photos, and seeing their work, i'd venture to say the opposite....she took the portrait, and he took the photo of them holding hands...

Haters gonna hate indeed... everyone wants to know who shot the wedding so they can rush to shoot holes in the person's work and convince themselves that they could have done it better for 1/4 of the price. el oh el

And he's been with this girl a LONG time. He chose to marry her shortly after his IPO (which made him officially filthy rich) - which means she has the legal right to half his money. He could have easily chosen to marry her earlier and keep the money for himself, but didn't. Classy move, IMO.

The amount of vitriol spewed towards people and their private lives on the internet is pretty disgusting, IMO. It's not so bad here, but wander around on news and gossip sites for a bit and you'll see what i'm talking about.

So true, especially your first and third points. People get real tough and self-righteous when they're hiding behind their keyboards...

As for the marriage/IPO thing, I heard on the news that he did it that way on purpose. Something along the lines of whatever he brought into the marriage remains his if they were to split. I don't know if there's any truth to that...

That would seem to make more sense, though I don't know the legal details of it. Why anyone would willingly surrender billions of dollars via marriage is mind-boggling, though it does show commitment. Either way, that's an argument I'd rather avoid here.

Congrats to them both.

Agreed on all points. It's funny to see someone who was driven to create a tool that has transformed the whole world... and actually succeeded... to have his own faithful (and addicted) users hate/judge him for something they get completely for free. Crazy.

He seems happy and less money-obsessed than most. I applaud that.

He's surrendering his LIFE to her. What are a few billion dollars compared to that? They've been together for like a decade... I suspect that that is a far more valuable investment to Mr. Zuckerman than however many billions of dollars... just like the years of my life that I've spent with my wife are worth more than what I've made during those years.

And no I'm not talking in romantic terms "the time with my wife has been worht so much" ... I mean if one is concerned about losing the money... that's the wrong freakin' focus. Because every day that passes, if you're not happy, you've lost something far more valuable than whatever financial loss you may fear. You can always make/get more money... you can never get more years of life... it's the ultimate equalizer.
