p.1 #1 · LR4 R2 Vs CS6, Bridge and Camera raw

I know my computer is slow for todays standards but for the life of me I can't figure out why using Bridge and camera raw is way faster than LR4 R2 with 7d files anyone wit similar issues? Got any ideas?

Think I may have found my problem testing now. Don't think I had 1:1 previews checked upon import

Well the 1:1 preview was not the cause. just increased my cache from 15gb to 100gb and that seems to be the ticket changed redraw times to roughly 10 seconds at least tolerable. Next new faster system drive and install win 7 64 bit

If you haven't optimized your LR catalog, that would be a good place to start.

File > Optimize Catalog ...

If you are working with RAW files, you can import them or upgrade them in place to DNG. When you do this there is a check box for fast processing that you can check. This will increase your speed in the Develop module up to 8X.
