p.1 #1 · PS CS5 Bridge won't open but one image at a time...
I had a Bridge crash last week, and my tech restored everything, and Bridge works as perfectly as it always did, except for one thing. It will only open one image at a time from the thumbnail window. If I click on a second image, it replaces the first one. If I want to duplicate an image, the dupe replaces the original file rather than having two open copies on the desktop. I am used to opening several images at once for comparison, and it won't do that now. It won't even let me open an older pp - saved image along with one of the thumbnails. Any clues ?
I think I remember this happening when I first installed CS5 when it first came out, and
I am sure it's a simple resetting of something, but I've been through PSCS5 prefs as well as Bridge prefs several times and can't find the answer.

Problem SOLVED !!!!
The problem was that I had "tabs" enabled in the PS Prefs interface window. I knew it was a simple fix, but had forgotten what I did a couple of years ago to make this work

That's the big trouble with recovering from computer crashes - it takes so long to find every little tweak that has been made over an extended period. Ideally you will have a record of such tweaks and be able to find it when you need it.
