Please add your pictures here that are shot with wireless flash or any other interesting flash technique, and with alternative lenses or an alt system.
Please add a description what you used or what you did.
I start with shots from a NEX-7. All of them are made with the Phottix Strato II system for Sony Alpha, and three Yongnuo YN560 flashes. This combination works surprisingly well (much better and more consistent than the Canon speedlite optical wireless system that I formerly used).
Sony Zeiss 24/1.8. One flash with blue gel filters and diffusor was placed directly at the window of the cabin, pointing to the roof. NEX-7 off camera flash by meizzner, on Flickr
Here is one flash shot through blue gel and a self-made honeycomb structure.
Another one is shout through yellow gel.
The third one is shot without gel though an umbrella (front right) and its light was bounced from the left. May I add that the lens is on ebay at the moment.
Edit: Shout with the Sony E-mount Macro lens. Product shot / off camera flash by meizzner, on Flickr
Ken: This time there was no flash on top of the transmitter but I tried it another day and it works well.
I use the METZ 24 AF-1 for that, which has a nice from factor to go with the NEX-7.
Steven, I found this here a while ago. It might be a solution for you: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4126/5044400167_507afcf25a_z.jpg
Edit: if it is not apparent from this picture, an optical trigger is attached to a wireless trigger and taped in front of the screw-on NEX flash. Source = gregoryjkemp.com
Jae, very nice shots. I'm glad if the unique lens does it for you!
You're really into watches, aren't you? Hard to believe that you made these pictures in a busy bar.
