p.1 #1 · Lighting advice needed to photograph water color painting

Hello,
I have been asked to photograph water color painting. Can someone please advise as how to setup lighting to photograph water color painting? So that I can project this painting as a background for middle school dances performance.
I have never done this kind of work before.
I have one Einstein, 2X Canon 430 Ez and one Canon 430 Ex.
Advance thanks for your time in providing this advice.

Soft even light. Depending on the size of the water color painting I would bounce a speed light or two with diffused domes of a ceiling to give it a nice even soft light. Einstein might be overkill.

water color paintings should be pretty safe to be photographed. Oil painting is a problem. You need to get rid of the reflection.

If under glass, that was recently discussed here: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1110352/0#10599874

If the water color isn't framed and under glass (reflections on the glass not an issue) the bounce lighting idea would work.

Thanks every one for the suggestions, I will use copy lighting during the weekend and post the actual picture for more advice again.

looks good though you need some fill from the bottom part of the painting. The light falloff is slightly noticeable. A piece of white foam board would help
