I have two bodies. One with a 70-200 and one with a 24-70. Both on my hips with the spider holster. One Alien Bee on a stand with wireless trigger. But I don't always bring that. I like to remain free of carrying gear as I always shoot these sessions alone and I prefer to keep engagement sessions more casual. It's easier to walk and talk without carrying a lot of gear
I have found that with E-Session when I'm by myself, there's gaps/lulls when I set up lights and that pretty much ruin the session.. so I try to keep the OCF at minimum.

I have an engagement session coming up here, and this is great reading to see how different folks approach the e-session from a gear perspective. Basically, whatever you feel like bringing, and yes, keep it simple, nimble and light. For any outdoor session, e-sessions included, I just like to rely on a 24-70 and 70-200, each on a different body, plus a couple of speedlights (usually use only one at most), plus a reflector.
For my e-session this Saturday, I'm thinking of just going with a 50 1.4 and 85 1.4 to get more of the "wide open" look. I'll still bring two bodies (don't like to crash and burn out there) and a speedlight, but I'll aim to keep things really simple this time. Reading this thread has really affirmed that this is what I should try. Thanks, everyone!
