This was definitely a spur of the moment shot. I was walking around the house looking to inspiration, when Rocky got in my way
Love this photo. Composition and conversion are great. Not too sure about the shading though, on my monitor the cloning (?) at the bottom is ungraduated and a bit severe: it's pretty much all black and shows up too starkly.
The very bottom of the image had a (shiny) metal door trim which was really distracting, I felt like I had to get rid of it, and this aggressive burn was really the only way...
the burn in at the bottom is the only thing that bothers me, the rest is great, the look on the dogs face, and the family environment in the background really conveys "home".
Oh my goodness! Today is one month since we adopted a 3 year old boxer from a rescue group. He's a brindle, but in that profile, he could be Rocky's brother! LOOOOVE IT! They are the best dogs!
