A lot of my photo stuff is certainly replaceable, but right now I wouldn't trade my ZE50P, I love the images that can be made with that lens, sure it's got it's quirks but I love it all the same.
Non photo gear - Metallica Albums 1 through 5, plus live sh1t and garage inc.
Can't live without em, even after 20+ years and growing up a little.
photogear... nothing really, it's just stuff. The thing that came closest was my CLE, mainly from fear that I couldnt find another fully functional one in the future and there are no parts around. But in the end I sold that too.
From most love to less most love!
Contax 85/1.2 60 Jahre
Contax 55/1.2 100 Jahre
Zeiss Rollei 35/1.4
CV 125/2.5
Love them for unique bokeh (35), Sharpness (85,55,125) and everything else from them )
PS: This is my very first post in FM and i love alternative lenses!
lenticular11, A nice red & green Duc behind yours, I'm really wanting to do up a cafe racer in the worst way.
I totally agree that most stuff(s) are replaceable, and in the end it is just stuff, but it's the stuff that's harder to part with/do without that I'm talking about.
Along with my Mom's Perogies(or Pierogi) which are boiled, I really miss my Grandma's baked Perogies, they were soft light and tasty, I really should get the recipe from my cousin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierogi
I wouldn't trade my vision, or my memory(memories)
+1 Rustybug (I'm considering Christ in the 'loved one's category )
1) The experience of seeing the Grand Canyon (south rim) for the first time in person. I got there and the canyon was *chock full* of clouds (early morning) and I'm disappointed, but I sit there with many tourists (lots of languages), waiting for the clouds to lift with my D700 in tow.
I had absolutely no knowledge of the expanse of the canyon, I could maybe see 100ft in front of me, perhaps a tree down the wall some, or a rock outcrop...nothing else.
Once the clouds lifted very quickly (sun + updrafts) and the canyon was right in front of me, it was almost a sense of vertigo - the view is absolutely massive, and no photograph captures this. I was reminded how miniscule we are to the expanse God has created and I was very thankful to photograph it.
I get these feelings when I see such grand landscapes (in person) and I'm thankful for the beauty I'm afforded to see, and also thankful for the sensation of awe of the locale. (Originally that's why I wanted to get into photography, to capture gorgeous locations).
2) Waking up before anyone else on a cold morning, brewing some coffee, wearing a comfy robe and sitting down to watch the sun rise while reading my iPad.

I experienced a big dose of that feeling one night in Costa Rica, along the Caribbean coast in a village called Tortuguero http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tortuguero,_Costa_Rica
Light pollution is non-existent out here, and never in my life have I seen so many stars & galaxies as I did that night, I was in AWE of it all, and I've done lots of camping and stargazing.

LightShow - I know just what you mean . The red / green bike a genuine Mike Hailwood Replica and the event was an annual gathering of Italian cars and bikes. Of course, I hope you know who Mike 'The Bike' Hailwood was?
Thanks for sharing the Wiki link about pierogi - my mouth is watering...
Oh yeah, quite familiar with MotoGP, Isle of Man TT... and riders such as Miguel Duhamel, Michael Doohan, Eddie Lawson, Valentino Rossi, and of course Mike Hailwood.
I would love to own an RC30.
And if you were raised on Perogies/Pierogi like me, you get a Pavlov response just hearing "Pierogi"
I'm running out of things I'd never let go, My collection of pictures that I've taken.
