All shots wide open of course and no contrast of color adjustments made to the ooc jpg's.
I only cloned out a small distracting element in the third shot and usm of 0.3px at 45% was applied after resize to 2048px, all parameters in camera set neutral.
The last shot was on a 12mm extension tube and lens also at mfd (important with the floating element I think)
Very nice results with the FD 85 1.2 Asph, not surprisingly! The rendering doesn't look too dissimilar to the 55 Asph, probably with less field curvature and perhaps even a bit sharper wide open.
Some more shots with my FD 55mm 1:1.2 Aspherical (ooc jpg's, except for the automated resize + copyright + usm 0.3px 35% after resize to 2048px):
Thanks, I thought manual focus @ f1.2 would be difficult, but it turned out not as difficult as I thought. I used to use 1.2 lens on film SLRs, now with Sony cameras, focus peaking and magnification works quite well, and perhaps more accurate, but it feels a bit slower than the split focusing screen.
Sony A7R2 with 50mm 0.95. Wide open, never thought I could manual focus this beast. but it turns out on stationary subject the hit rate is rather high.
