here are a few from the canon FL 55/1.2 on the NEX-7. first time i really tried the lens on this high pixel density monster. it seems to hold up reasonably well:
100% crop:
i've actually been shooting in raw+jpeg with the camera set to high contrast sepia, so these are just out of camera jpegs with a little tweaking.

Interesting! How do you think the 55 1.2 compares to some of the other normal-ish 1.2's (Rokkor, and so on)?
the canon FL is certainly sharper than both rokkor f/1.2 lenses with funkier bokeh. not certain how it fits in compared to the pentax, nikon, and OM f/1.2s...
the canon is my sharpest slr normal lens stopped down as well.
It's been probably discussed over and over...but since this is the first thread I could find (btw I'm at page 11 with the watching and reading)...here goes nothing:
I want to get a 1.2 lens...and since I don't have the cash for a 50L or 85L (regardless if they're EF or FD)... I'm thinking of some good old manual focus lens..
Can you tell me what lenses I can get which don't require an adapter with optical element (glass)?
Or how much of an impact does that glass element have on overal IQ & etc?
So far I know about rokkor 55/58mm 1.2, Canon FD/FL 55/58mm 1.2.....
What should one get, how do they behave?
If this has been discussed in 'depth' somewhere else, if you can point me ....so I don't hassle you guys on this thread ..
I'd recommend the Pentax K (or A) 50mm f1.2. I had it for a while and It was a superb lens, and not too expensive. When I got the FD85L, I sold the Pentax. One f1.2 lens is enough for me, and 85mm suited me better.
