Agreed... funniest thing I've read in a while. For every "comment" in his blog post, my mind kept going back to specific posts and threads here on FM with exactly those themes. Classic.
Love the fact that it's been reposted to all sorts of fora about other things, too. "It's not photographers who act like we act... it's people." And the reader comments are great too.

You are just as much of a gear nut, and a gear snob too, as many others! It's just that you are an "alternative hammerer". When others talk about new something, you very often respond with a comment about how new gear is uninteresting, how you realized that the gear doesn't make the shot, and how you just picked up a newer lens made in 200 BC for your fully-manual stone-made camera made in 700 BC. Roger's "MC" and "Banger", and especially Thor, all remind me of you.
It's egotistical bull, too... Roger's a much better writer.
