#1 - They are JPGs. Canon is widely known for cranking up the NR on their JPGs. Less noise, but they can get goofy looking really quickly. Should be ignored.

#2 - He doesn't seem to understand Nikon's "Medium" setting.

Not sure that anyone should put much trust in someone that doesn't understand #1 and #2.

Yeah, from all the other test I've seen (including the video reviews in this thread) the D800 does amazingly well all the way up to its highest ISO.
