Good stuff, Tim.
That second shot gives me the giggles. It looks like the quail is frustrated by the dangnab feather that never combs right.

Lovely shot of the Black-Throated Tim!

I like the one-foot-in front of the other stance of #3 as well as the little catchlight in the eye. The light on the chest showing off the impress pattern of the last is great!
Nice low angles make these work well Tim

Nice series of shots Tim...must be a bit dicey for the sparrow trying to pose on a cactus like that. And I fully expect to see the quail in #1 trying to blow the plume from in front of its eyes...cool shot.

really nice desert birds. my fav is number 4. i am very impressed with how the bird in #1 avoid the spines!
