Thanks Reagan. The 18-55, as we all know, is a great little lens. I'm always delighted with the OOF areas when I bring the images into LR. And the sharpness is outstanding for a "kit lens". I have the 50mm f2 coming this week, can't wait to try it.
None of these award-winning, but wanted to show off some wood-working. XT2 with 35/2, jpeg.
It's a truck coin-holder for my friend who's received a promotion and is moving very soon (if you don't know, many people in the military and civil service, usually former military, are big into collecting unit / special coins from different people or organizations).
Made from pine (regret that, but oh well), red oak trim, walnut, cedar (gas tanks), some type of red wood I can't remember (front flames) and leopardwood (the smoke stacks). I also designed and burned the stuff on the truck with my home laser-etcher.
Had to stop down to f/8+ I think on some shots, at ISO 12K, not too bad I guess. Entire rig is about 2 feet long.
