For some reason I find my eye going to the foliage before the elephant, even with the bright highlight on the elephant's right ear and head. I think it may be an apparent sharpness in the bokeh that is overpowering the incredibly fine and interesting detail in the elephant.
A very interesting exercise in photographic visual interest.
