These were taken in 2016 with an X-T1 in Columbia Hills State park not far from Portland, Oregon. Fantastic park in the spring and on a clear day, you can see multiple mountains in the Cascades - Rainier, Hood, Jefferson, Adams, etc. Back then, I was adding some serious saturation .
Interestingly enough, this is my all time highest revenue generating image via stock. It will be passed soon, though. It was picked up by Microsoft and used as their bing image of the day and also on the Windows 10 / 11 home screen / wallpaper. Ecola State Park.
Beautiful shots Jase, the beach scene makes me miss Oregon a little (lived there for 27 years). I know how rare that level of clarity is down the beach.
First time with an X-T5. So much easier to carry than the full frame 100-400/500 combos. I feel like I got so much more than I was expecting, especially with how good the stabilization is.

I've also been pleasantly surprised by the 70-300 even though I've heard good things about it.
Recent trip to the beach. Packed the Fuji as a just in case rig along with a few other larger rigs I normally pack for a trip like this, and ended up using the Fuji rig the majority of the weekend. Funny how that works sometimes.
I was walking out of the Marine nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY when I ran into a group of my friends. While we were chatting a green heron flew to a tree near us. We all took photos of it and then it took off and went down into a stream out of view. We continued to chat and eventually the greeny walked along the stream into view yet in a rather ugly environment. I chose to sit down on the bank and wait for opportunities with nice backgrounds. The green heron continued fishing and have a very successful time at it never missing and getting close and closer to me. Eventually I took the burst that this image is from and decided it was time to go home.

Ps. The dark spot behind the fish is a muscle shell.

From the Polar Pro 28 "Light Leak" lens. It's a fun toy to play with for sure. These two with no leak activated. Gnome is classic Neg, cows are Classic Chrome emulation.
