The specular highlights (bokeh balls) were created by another tern diving near this one producing spray. I did not plan this one yet I'm loving it.

Spinning Terns

With thousands of common terns at there nesting grounds on Nickerson Beach, Long Island, NY I had many opportunities to photograph them in flight. After terns swim or fish, they spin to dry off and I think sometimes they do it for fun. Enjoy this acrobatics show.

This set with the X-H2s firmware V7.0 and XF 150-600. V 7 has brought us incredibly sticky subject detection
