Should post the shots taken with the Nikon manual focus lenses in the Nikon Manual Focus lenses thread. Wonderful group of folks who also shoot these beauties.
Got some shots of a bald eagle today. Waited for well over an hour for him to take off but he was just chilling. Even when he got sort of buzzed by a helicopter. XT5 with 100-400 + 2x TC @800mm plus a fairly deep crop.

An example from the Sigma 10-18. Note this was perspective-corrected a bit in post, so some of the total image was lost, but it's how I use ultra-wides when I shoot with them. It's a surprisingly good little lens I think.
Night Barmen. I enjoy shooting this type of image with a wide lens -- the people seeing a camera pointed in their direction either smile and/or wave like the guy in the center, or try and "stay out of the image" like the guy on the right
Just picked up a 16-80 to compare to my 16-55. Both are rumored to be "not among the best" for the 42MP sensors... I understand that comment for both *when* using them wide open. But my experience is they do quite nicely stopped down one, and of course *for my needs* are more than adequate even wide open and at all focals, but I respect that others opinions will vary. By f5.6 for the 16-55 is critical sharp across the image, even corners, and pretty much at all focals. The 16-80 is a tad behind here, but still quite decent IMHO, and the lens is a keeper simply for its versatility.
This is one of the test images I took with the 16-80 at f5.6/80mm. Note I cropped to about half the frame and added a ⅔ stop vignette in post. Happy to engage in discussion about either of these all-around wide X zooms...
Edit -- while neither lens is a bokeh queen, I find what is there quite acceptable too...
