Would love to see a new 18mm f2 with internal/quieter focusing and WR, but you show that the current one is no slouch.
Kind of you, thanks!
The 18/2 is an amazing bargain and still performs really well. Kind of crazy to think it was one of the original 3 lenses introduced with the X system.

I was thinking I’d try a polarizing filter. Muted is cool but it happens a lot when I dont mean it to. Depending on how Hazy it is out.
That could help, but you might lose some or all of the reflections on the water here, which I think add a lot of depth to the image. I think you'd be surprised what you could pull out of the image with some time editing. I played around with it when I was checking out that crop before I suggested it to you and was able to get a deeper, richer color feel to it just using some curves and adjustment layer masks.
Even if you're not deep into photoshop, something like Luminar AI / Neo or Topaz Photo AI, DXO whatever their product is called.. lots of plugin/tools out there to help if you prefer some easier methods to help edit images.
Had to resort to the raw file to clean up excessive ground clutter. :-( I do like earthly objects, human or natural, in my night sky pic's. It connects us with the universe & vice-versa. And in this one I like the diffusion effect of earthly clouds upon our neighboring planets
Sorry, forgot to mention that these are the Los Angeles mountains. We got a boat load of snow. They are just barely opening up the highways to reach the communities in the mountains.
Missed yesterday's shot, cold, cloudy & very windy. Thought I would miss tonight, it snowed all afternoon. But after sundown things cleared up enough to allow me to get my shot.
