These tiny ducklings were about the size of mom's head. Watching them scurry around, swim and bathe was a joy on a very present morning at Kissena Park in New York City. It was interesting to discover that 3 moms grouped there chicks and then took terns watching them while the other two swam around and I assume that was for a break. I took the photos sitting on the bank behind the rod iron fence I've mentioned before. I hand held my camera at ground level and used the LCD flipped up at 45 degrees to compose. Having become used to shooting between the bars made it less of a challenge. At one point the ducklings wondered up the bank and I was surrounded by them with some as close as one foot. Clearly this was too close to focus so I just sat there and smiled.

Another from our seahawk trip out west.
Yesterday the Fuj 8-16 arrived and tomorrow a Haida m15 filter array; so hoping to find a waterfall during the coming week.
Mark, thank you so much for this post. I have been considering the Canon 300/4 for my X-H1 and I was speculating about how well it worked. You moon shot certainly answers that question. Do you have it connected via the Fringer II Pro?

Anthony,
Yes, I'm using the Fringer Pro II and it works very well... Have been thinking about picking up a Canon 85mm 1.8 and 10-22mm to use on my X-Pro3.
