This is probably the third or fourth photograph I've made in 40 years with an automobile as the subject...but that's what the Weekly Assignment is all about, eh?
This truck was under a shelter in the yard of an auto restoration company, and I was concerned about a brick wall right in front through the windshield. But, when I metered for the shadowed truck bed, the wall blew out almost white in the sunlight; problem solved.
I like it, the blown out wall balances the bright white letters on the tailgate. I really like the rust textures and colors of the truck bed. Nice find.
Thanks for the kind words, folks; it was a lucky find - after cruising the car lots, junkyards, and back pastures looking for "automobile inspiration", this was just around the block from my wife's office...
(The truck isn't posted for sale, but a cherry red Corvair was, right next to it!)
