I was yesterday finally testing out my new Nikkor 300 f4 with 1.4 TC in the real world.
After too many common ducks I spotted two grebe but they where too far away or behind reed.
Although I knew they would be almost out of reach I changed my position to have a clear shot and was lucky to witness their courting.
These are heavy crops but I think they will look great as A4 prints in my badly light hallway.
Hope al makes sense. I had to google lots of new words.
Thank for looking.
Chris
Chris- Terrific scenics. Terrific grebe courting shots.
A few pond weeds is a lot easier than paying for a big old diamond ring .
The 1.4 and the crops make the images a bit soft- but IMO it works very well here. Beautiful images of a couple of strange-looking birds.
Since moving to Holland, you probably don't get to climb very many local snow-covered mountains .

Nice landscapes and certainly a fun and healthy way to spend the day. The grebes are wonderful and such interesting head feathers.

Thank you Eric. It sure was a healthy day with lots of fresh air.
