Thanks, those were shot around 9am (When the cars got on track) and I shot untill about 11:30am...by then, I was hitting f/22 and more so I called it a day.

Cars on track around 8:00am Sat., hate to have to use an ND, but may for the Mitty.

I'm shooting different locations tomorrow, and may try a filter and stay later to see how it does

Thanks for looking,

Jefferson

This is what got me hooked on dslr's!!I've done autox and track days so I'm always trying to watch motorsports events, schedule permitting do you happen to shoot at shutter priority or manual?

I shoot the on track stuff in shutter priority, spot metering, center point, AI Servo with the lowest ISO I can get to stay between 1/125th and 1/60th for pans and let the aperture float...slow shutter speeds tend to close the aperture...as so the day getting bright around 11am or so. Can't control when the cars are on track though

ahh ok,same here.i normally stay at 1/125 - 1/100.just have a regular zoom so i try not to get too fancy with shooting, saving up for a 70-200mm 2.8 and a teleconverter for full track events.

Testify Brotha...spoken like an old pro.

It's good to see you continue to improve and pass what you have learned on to others.

You have come full circle Grasshopper.

Nice stuff man,,,

Always liked this kinda racing, mainly for the variety of cars..

Been watchin the Aussie Grand Prix practice on n off all afternoon......between going down to the local Lake to shoot Wakeboarders,....

Mercedes Benz Petronas Team has a fair bit of pace ,....got a few rattled, the RedBulls dont seem quite so quick, McLaren lokks very strong....

Tommorow is payday so we'll see.
