Nobody ran Jacob's this day, at 8000 that is taking your life in your hands.
A couple guys did run it at this level the day after I was there. James Byrd and Tristan McClaren. They went in....disappeared....and popped up downriver...crazy stuff, but those guys are as good as there is.

Always good to see Kayak photos.
Looks like this will be a weak Spring. No snow in the Northeast.

Good pic, If you have a shot before or after where you can see his face it would be better.

Mike...I agree with Shane here. If you didn't title it.....one would maybe not know it was kayaking or just the paddle in the water.

It there was a bit more of the kayak and kayaker showing in this shot....I think it would have the making for a great shot.

Thanks for the responses.
I will post a link to a larger version. It is a blue boat and you can see his hand on the paddle, hard to see at this small size.
He went in at that dark hole bottom right and disappeared into the wave, appeared as shown here for a millisecond then disappeared into the wave again until he popped up downstream. In this instance there never was more of him showing, kind of what the shot is about really.
