p.1 #1 · boys basketball

I took these a few weeks ago but am just getting to messing with them now. The gym i my opinion had bad lighting that cycled which gave me problems to say the least. I posted a pic of the lights so you guys can tell me if there really not that bad.....I feel I underexposed some of these so cc and pp advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Ben

Yeah, the lighting is pretty bad, but that's typical indoor lighting. However, everything is looking real soft again.

^+1...the last image is the only one that looks relatively sharp. EXIF says you're shooting at 1/1600, f1.8 w/ that one, and some others are 1/2500.

I would suggest shooting Manual, and going to f2 or f2.8 to get a little more DOF. And your shutter speed could probably be 1/1000 or 1/800 for these boys.

I'm not familiar w/ the Canon focusing modes, but perhaps try a single point mode to rule out any issues w/ Dynamic jumping around to adjacent areas other than your primary subject.

agree with the above. 1/800sec is more than adequate. open it up, bring down your ISO and adjust WB in post and things will look a lot better.
