Just picked up a Fuji X10. In order to simplify viewing the raw files, I downloaded and installed the trial version of the FastPictureViewer Codec. It requires removal of the Nikon Codec.
I notice that in PS5 when I go to open the raw files the glyph for jpgs is now the same as for raw files.
Is this a bad move or a good move? Any thoughts on what this codec does to files (if anything....)....
PS5 has the version of ACR that opens X10 files, but doesn't show thumbs....

I have erased the fast picture product and reinstalled the Nikon codec.
For anyone with a Fuji, the codec is concealed on the installation disk in a directory usefully labeled RAF.....
I have ps5 and did not want the finepix stuff cluttering my hard drive,,,,I never saw anything in installation hat offered just the codec or whatever the file really is.
Hope this helps someone; it was a PITA for me.....
