A write up on how you obtain both foreground and background in the same plan of focus would help a llloooottt...I treated myself with a 24 TS-E and tried to shoot the morning light on El Capitan this weekend. I have not processed it yet, but I am sure I could never get the focus and tilt accurate...Sure needs a lot of practice...
I did try using some tables of the internet that would calculate the amount of tilt for height of the camera from the ground. I sure did this but could not get the focus right, Is it Infinity? or some where in between
I missed this lovely, when you first posted it, Fred...and I'm glad some other folks brought it back to the first page and gave us another look at it--marvelous light, comp, colors, etc.!
