What's the significance of a green streak vs. a gray one in the graph?
Grey have definite specs given while the green appears to still be on the drawing board as far as details regarding focal length, speed etc are concerned

That's a 25 year old lens design dating back to 1987! A bit different than a brand new lens.
Not to mention the 35G acquired the designation with its first revision, when the G designation was first introduced by Minolta and all the 'Pro' lenses got it regardless of performance.

I'm looking for a superwide/fisheye for my Nex-5n for taking shots of myself on mountain summits etc. I'm not really after superduper IQ, but good enough. As I understand, the Samyang E-mount 8mm/3.5 is not out yet.
Has anyone tried the Sony NEX Fisheye konverter for the 16mm/2.8?
EDIT: Found some samples of the 16mm/2.8 + Sony converter on dpreview. Looks pretty good, and cheap as well. I'll probably go that route.
I have 2 Sony flashes that i received in a camera bag that i bought.I am wondering if anyone knows if they will work on the Nex cameras. The 2 flashes are :
(1) HVL - FDH3 Video flash Light. (DC 7.2V)
(2) HVL - IRH2 Video IR Light (DC 7.2)
Any input is appreciated.I do not have anything Sony to test them on.

Indeed, that's very surprising. I always thought they were made in the same Sony Japanese production facility which makes the higher end "G" lenses. I think it unlikely Cosina but then who?
The Sony zeiss is surprisingly well damped for an AF lens. It's af is pretty darn fast and good that I never use manual focus though.
I don't know that Kyocera is still making any photographic lenses at all since the demise of Contax. Seems like I recall reading they either destroyed or dismantled everything related to that.
I am contemplating on getting a NEX-C3 + Sony 16 + Sigma 30 as a carry-around kit, and was wondering if there are any NEX-3/C3 owners or previous owners who've had a terrible experience with the camera? The reason why I am considering the C3 is purely an economical one: the aforementioned kit can be had for 555 EUR where I live, whereas a similar 5N kit would add up to double the cost, which I cannot swallow. The 5N is not available as a kit with the 16mm, and the 5N+18-55 kit (or body alone) is just shy of 600 EUR.
For my use, the major limitations of the C3 would be lack of remote shutter control and 200 base ISO, but I think I could live with these issues. The lack of RAW +2/-2 EV bracketing is a pity, but I'm not sure that the 5N could do this either. I do not consider the lack of EVF option a problem at this stage, and if I really start liking the NEX system, I can always upgrade the body at a later stage.
I was also looking at the m4/3 system, but the sub-600 EUR kits seem to not reach the IQ of the C3.
Ideas, suggestions? I would like to try a mirrorless system and see, if I could persuade myself to take it everywhere and not miss any photo opportunities. I was also thinking about the new Nokia cellphone with the huge sensor, but it's apparently going to cost as much as the C3 kit.

For the money nothing TOUCHES the C3. It's really the jewel of the system. I've owned the 5N, the C3, and now the 7.
The 7 is obviously a different (very expensive) animal, but the C3 holds its own. Obviously it lacks a grip, an EVF, the electronic first shutter, and the movie modes, but if you're about actually taking pictures you'd be hard pressed to find anything near it. You can find them for under $275 lightly used and go all the way to ISO6400 without blinking an eye.
Thanks for the valuable feedback, lattiboy. Your experience reflects my initial feelings about the C3, and it's great to hear that from someone who has actually used the camera.
So I went ahead and just ordered the C3+16mm kit and the Sigma 30mm. They should be here tomorrow or early next week. Thanks for pushing me over the edge, lattiboy. I've been hemming and hawing over this for some months now.
Will post my first findings after I've been out with them for a bit. It would've been easier to try them out first-hand before buying, but none of the local shops carry any mirrorless systems. The NEX kit will not be replacing my EOS system, as I like it for contemplative shooting, but I suspect that the NEX kit will actually see more day-to-day use (small kids in the house).
So I've been on the fence about mirrorless systems, was going to go with the OMD but it's vaporware to me at this point due to lack of availability. So I'm going to sell the X100 and pick up a NEX-7. I am waiting for the holy grail FF mirrorless like everyone else so until that materializes I will just jump around to different systems and hold on to some old glass.
Could use some kit suggestions. Thinking Sigma 19 & 30, Sony 50, and Zeiss 24 whenever I can get ahold of one. I am basically a landscape and portrait shooter. Need something for this summer to shoot some kid's gymnastics and swimming. No idea what to do about that, maybe the alpha adapter?
I have seen a lot on the Sigma 30 but not as much on the 19 - my frame of reference would be using a 5D with Zeiss C/Y 28mm. 28 is basically wide enough for me until Sony comes out with a high quality wide zoom. Am I going to be perpetually disappointed?
Ukissavosta and theophilus, I used a c3 for a year after using a micro4/3's I felt like the IQ of the Nex was well above that of the micro 4/3's. I really liked my c3, it is so tiny and can take so many lenses, I loved the ones that use the m mount, Voigtlanders, Zeiss and others.
I have recently moved from a c3 to a Nex 7, like it even better, but they both are great, really appreciate the APSC sensor. good luck joanlvh

I'm using both Sigma's on the NEX-7 and I'm very happy with both. The 19 is about as good as your going to get right now for that focal length on the NEX-7. You will likely be very happy with it unless your expecting tack sharp extreme corners. The vast majority of the frame looks really good. Both Sigma's are no brainers for still's imo. Video using AF is an issue with the Sigma's though. For versatility with Video, you may wish to pick up the NEX-7 kit lens set which also gives you stabilization - that is, unless the new "G" zoom shows up before you buy.
