A time capsule from 1937 that I have driven by 100 times and never stopped, a building built to house huge diesel generators. It is still used for backup in outages. I only had a few minutes so I will be back.

Yes it is open to the public, the people there are very proud, and rightly so, of their building. They will drop what they are doing and give you a tour.
