I am having trouble with an Idea for a golf poster. Does anyone have any suggestions. My dad happens to be the head golf coach so I am able to do some shooting for them. I would like to have something made up for the parents, but am struggling with Ideas. Do you keep it simple?
Thats pretty much along the lines that I was thinking. I have a good buddy who is an architect and can create cool things on photoshop, but i kind of wanted to keep it to something I could do and not commission it out.
Hey Grant, was in a hurry and forgot to comment how clean and simple your poster looked-- very nice. And seeing your work on your famous poster sharing thread, it's obvious you can handle more complicated stuff. It's all about knowing the tools, and finding some inspiration.
I'm a golfer myself and it was not demeaning at all as my son is on the left. Lighten up and don't take life so seriously. It was done tongue in cheek as this group of kids did a great job all year long and didn't get much recognition from some people. The kids and parents loved it!
Again, no intent of making fun of golfers at all. Not knowing the context of the poster, I can understand your original post. Was the poster politically correct? Probably not. Was it designed as intended? Yes. Poking fun at some people associated with the team? Yes. The poster reflects the how the season went for this team and how the team felt. Amazing how the players, parents, and coach got the meaning immediately and loved it!
