Nice tonal range in both -- the second is the more interesting photo to me too. My idea of a charming small village. The first looks just a bit tilted to the left, though I'm not sure it is -- can't really see the horizon line well.

The seat shot could well be a tad tilted to the left, if my shots tilt, they tend to be left hand down before I correct them. Tricky to tell as you say and it didnt look too off the mark at the time, so I made no correction.
One of my fav streets in St. Albans, quiet and sleepy a few yards from the catherdral (there is also a pub 20 feet away, so what more can you want!)
