p.2 #2 · A Question for all that use paypal to transact
paypal is a scam--it's an ebay company designed for one purpose--to get more of a % of your transactions.
"Scam?" ..... hardly. A scam is a confidence trick, con game, con, grift, hustle, swindle, etc. They charge 3% of the transaction price which is actually reasonable considering that credit card companies normally charge from 10% - 33% APR. Transferring money to and from PayPal takes about 3 days, usually one day longer than bank to bank. They are a convenience, and 100 times better than Western Union or other instant money availability sources. And they are recognized too. I have a debit card with them which comes in handy every now and then. Ebay is an entirely different animal.... that I don't use.

You have no protection at all with personal payments, Fred has recommended this as well. For the 2-3% depending upon your volume, it's well worth it to eat the fees.
