Actually, this was totally unexpected. They contacted me out of the blue through the contact form on my website. At first I thought it was an inquiry. Then I started reading about how someone wanted to use my photos for an article. I get requests like that every now and then, but they're usually someone looking for a free photo. Then I read 'Newsday" and I was like "Oh shit!". Obviously, getting photos in the Bridal Planner for the largest circulation newspaper on Long Island was a big deal.
My bride (bless her heart) was picky about the photos throughout the process, but it turned out well in the end...
I actually thought the photobooth image which was featured in their 2010 Wedding Ideas article was even better. I got quoted in that one, which was pretty cool.
