p.1 #1 · Forgotten House

This old ruin of a house is located in the middle of the forest without any access roads. Made us wonder what its history was.
It was tryinig to capture the atmosphere and stillness of this simple, unspectacular yet interesting place.
Not sure if it worked but it feels close enough.
Thanks for looking.

Interesting mood in the way you have presented this one Ute. Very muted light, a soft touch with the details, and an induced vignette effect gives this an old time feel to the scene. Are the roof timbers covered in the same algae/moss that is also on the trees?

Nice one.

I like it. Kind of creepy, it would be fun to learn the history of it.

Well presented Ute. I really admire your post processing work here. Lovely tones with a bit of sinister mood thrown in. It might look in BW as well.

The mystery of this place is enhanced by not being able see what's over the rise, but the FG grass takes up too much of the image, imho.
I'm assuming in the older days, folks built with the materials that easily available, timber. It looks like maybe brick was used which would have be made nearby. Of course in your part of the world there are many centuries history to consider.

Wonderful setting, Ute. Love the warm soft textures and hues. Bet this would look terrific printed on canvas.

Well-found and well-framed. As others have mentioned, I like the soft processing that you used. Nice.

Feels spooky, Ute. A nice image, but I'm sure it's a place worth getting back to. Imagine such a scene with some mist!

I love it! Wonderful mood, the somewhat vintage feeling is delightful, and the comp framed by the fg tree is excellent!

Very well done. I really like how you made the grass in the foreground so prominent. Then the house just pokes up in the background. The location of the trees within the frame really sets it off. Nice work.
