We took some of these shots on a frozen river, and I guess with the mild temperatures we have been having the ice wasn't as thick as it usually is. I put my bag down at the side of the river and thought I heard the ice crack.
I laughed and said "wouldn't it be funny if I fell through the ice..."
Our client responded with, "Don't worry, you'd only fall knee deep"...
When I returned to pick up my bag I feel through the ice into knee deep water.... Needless to say, I was totally embarrassed!
After that location, we stopped at his place to get a dry pair of socks - I do not carry extra socks in my camera bag.
Good stuff! I caught pneumonia reading that though. I have a serious aversion to cold. I don't know if I'd go that far, but it's a great way to bond with the client. That'll make for some fun times when you shoot their wedding.
