Spotting leopards is very difficult. Sometimes its just the twitch of a tail in a tree that draws a second look but their spotted coats bathed in dappled light in thick green leaves does pose a challenge. This beauty was spotted (as all leopards are...even the black ones) in pretty thick foliage. They use this vantage point to scan the environs for potential prey, get out of the heat of the day, store their meals and keep out of range of lions. Oddly, one of their favorite night time prey items, baboons, is a real menace to leopards during the day. Male baboons have canines even larger than leopards and will attempt to attack them (particularly the smaller female leopards) if they can find them. The leopard will try to hide or slink away if confronted by a troop of baboons during the day...at night with superior night vision... the tables are turned.
Have a great weekend my friends!

Nice photos but the size of it on my 24" monitor does not fit. IMHO it would be much better for viewing sized a little smaller.
Thanks for letting me know...this is my "usual" size and the first I've been told they don't fit on a big monitor. I will give you a smaller size...let me know if that works.
EDIT.....The originals do fit on my 15" laptop...I wonder if you hit command - on a Mac or the equivalent on a PC whether that would work to shrink the photo to fit your monitor.
