Manual exposure is the way to go. Granted, if the ambient light is constantly changing, like the sun coming in and out of clouds, one has to do camera adjustments which are similar to, say, shooting a dark bird after having done a white one.

Yeah... it had 180K miles and needed a new clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, oil leaked, black smoke, and needed timing chain. $9000 to fix

Spinning the dials is the name of the game, it makes you UNDERSTAND what is going on. So much better than leaving it all to lady luck hoping the camera knows what to do. Super wing spread in 3!!!!
