Conrad, those are very nice kite shots, but the flare on your jeep pictures has almost blinded me.
Manual exposure is the way to go. Granted, if the ambient light is constantly changing, like the sun coming in and out of clouds, one has to do camera adjustments which are similar to, say, shooting a dark bird after having done a white one.
It is also helpful to develop a habit of adjusting exposure in number of clicks of the dial, without even looking at the camera settings display. That way you can adjust your exposure parameters on the fly.
Excellent series...no blown whites my friend! Slick avatar...I kinda expected it to crawl along my computer screen. It does take some discipline to make the manual switch...with your obvious talent "sky's the limit"!

A Porsche Boxster, only 5K? Well, I'm glad you replaced it with something a little more subtle... Awesome work as per your usual, Conrad, and I'm including the shots of your new wheels!
Nice set and story Conrad... Manual Ex is not easy and yes you spin dials when the subject changes quickly.... Nice ride... Its not a Jeep but thats ok..
Nice Kites Conrad, I shot manual for a year just to force myself to be more aware. It really improved my exposures. Like the new wheels, still looks like a speeding ticket magnet though. Bruce
Nice set buddy!
Glad you at least tried to do the manual...practice and you will get it quick and be way better off for it...
1, 3, 4, 8 and 10 are the favorites..
Looks like you need to clean your sensor a touch.....
Oh look it's the New Toyota, the 401K version.... Dude.......
Now that you have new wheels to attract even more attention, drive back up here and lets shoot snowies again, I bet we can get your cost per image way up there

I don't know CT it looks like you did a damn fine job if you ask me Spinning the dials is the name of the game, it makes you UNDERSTAND what is going on. So much better than leaving it all to lady luck hoping the camera knows what to do. Super wing spread in 3!!!!
