I tend to look at black and white images as out of date, artsy-fartsy stuff. On the other hand even I have to admit that sometimes the black and white can enhance an image. Here is an example of the dunes where the image is based on shapes and the absence of color might help. What do you think?

Edit:: sorry about the apparent noise in the black and white. That seems to be some sort of artifact due to downsizing.
