What I've found is that while working my shoes get scuffed up A LOT. Because of this, I would never buy any very expensive, or very polished shoes for weddings - regardless of how comfortable they were.
I use them with a nice set of thick insoles they are absolutely wonderful. They are as comfortable as most athletic shoes and look good enough to wear with dress clothes. The textured finish accepts polish nicely when they get scuffed up as well.
I had a post a couple years ago asking for shoe help due to planter fascious and you suggested the same shoe to me. I took your advice and loved the shoe. I am sure I could spend a hundred or more on a different brand and maybe get a better show, but these for the price have been great. I also add a insole to them to add a little more support. While I still suffer some by the end of the day my feet are not nearly as tired as they once were.
