Hi guys. It's been a long time! I posted two shots of the San Clemente pier, CA.
One was taken a couple days ago (dusk) and the other this morning (sunrise).
I hope you enjoy it!
All the best,
Fred
It's great to see you out and about! You need to come join some of us up at Little Corona sometime.
#1 is really good, a very nice dusk shot. #2 is pretty cool too, I like the moon, the singular person. But... I don't care as much for the bottom of the shot. I know a longer shutterspeed was needed, but I think underexposing the water and pulling a bit more detail out of it, especially the larger white area of the wave breaking would help anchor the bottom of the shot better.

PS. I hope I don't get fired for the suggestion on your #2 shot...
Really like #2. I can't help but think that framing the person with the moon behind him with some long glass (think 600+) would produce a really interesting image. The moon would look huge. You have a great angle to exploit.
Thanks for posting! Reminds me I need to get over to the coast more often. I have a cousin in San Clemente...might be time for a visit

Thanks for all the comments!
On the dusk picture, the sky was very cloudy and I only got the colors I wanted from a very long exposure. The sunrise day had a bald sky but I was able to capture a pinkish hue at first light.
Here is another shot from the sunset day.
All the best,
Fred
With this full moon I need to get out and try a few things. I don't have a 600...oh, actually I do have my old NASA 600 mirror. Hmmm...the difference would be that the moon would appear so much bigger with a long lens.
Regardless, I still like these. I'm just hijacking the thread!
Fred! Really nice to see you posting images.
I like them all, but the early morning light in the 2nd is sublime, and I love the comp, lighting and ss in the 4th as well.
