I haven't read all the replies, but if you're booking 100% of meetings, you're most likely underpriced. The only exception I can think of would be if you've already been through a lot of back and forth on the phone or with email, so the meeting is simply a formality to sign a contract.
Either underpriced or you exceptionally well qualify folks before meeting them.
What's more impressive, meeting with 15 couples per year and booking 100% of them, or meeting with 50 couples per year and booking 50% of them? Assuming same revenue per booking, I'll take the second scenario every time.
Regardless, it stings when someone doesn't choose you for whatever reason. It's just part of the business though and you can't really take it personally.

that definitely came up...and perhaps its true. but all i can say is i'm not exactly cheap (never was) and that i'm comfortable with what i'm charging/clearing per wedding.

thanks man. seriously, i'm cool over it all. it actually became a joke between my wife and i. i'd get an email from a client who was booking and i'd exclaim, 'the streak is in tact!'. she'd yell back 'i cant imagine what they see in you or your work!'
i do feel that i communicate my 'brand' before a client even contacts me. this has changed a bit since i joined tony, but we havent seen a drop off in bookings. also, i think that i offer something that is a bit more unique than most other photographers. so, if clients identify that they want what i offer, there is less for them to choose from.
I am happy for you!!!! you are doing a good work and people see that and are paying it. I am wanting to
sign 100 % of couples but is it more harder than it looks.
Hey Chuck. I'm curious are these your own customers or are they via Tony Hoffer since you are his associate photographer. Actually what does that even mean?

As far as I can tell, Tony and I are approaching the idea of an "Associate Photographer" a bit differently than most others (or at least what we have seen). Typically, an Associate would be a "junior version" of the studio owner at a lower rate. We saw it a little different. I am going to continue to offer a more traditional documentary approach while Tony will continue to kick ass at what he does. Basically, it offers clients a choice. Tony talked about it here: http://hofferphotography.com/tag/chuck-anerino-hoffer-photography/
As for your first question, the large majority of those were booked from when I had my own business, Anerino Originals. I have also booked a few from my past referrals through Hoffer Photography.
