My wife and I are planning on doing a contest. I won't say what it is now till we've made it official. We're thinking that we'll start running the contest in July until December of this year but not sure what the best way to spread the words.
Youtube? Submitting articles online? Writing a blog post (but how to get more people to see the blog post?)
Any thoughts on this? It'll of course be wedding related.
We're finishing up a contest this week. We ran some ads on facebook that were targeted towards the demographic that we're looking for, contacted a bunch of wedding planners, and tried to get the contest published through a few of the bigger wedding blogs (most of them only accept those contest ads if you're paying for a sponsored post, though we were able to slip into a couple of blogs).
Good luck. It was a lot of work, but we had a good response from brides, planners, and blogs over the last couple of weeks and it added a bunch of energy to our business.
Thanks. Although it might seem like a joke to some, this is not something I'd ever put in Craigslist.
We did think about youtube and we were going to make a video and have it for people to reply with video. It's similar concept to what Hoffer did (but we're not giving away a trip).
Lets see if I can post some articles online which will help us get some traffic to our blog where we'll have a permanent link on top.
